Ponderous, Pondering

Tempus fugit.

Tempus fugit.

By Lisa Huddleston

Ponderous

Pondering

Heavy and fraught with

Meaning

The final seconds of

The final minutes of

The final hours of

The final day of

This year

Tick off and

Away

Well spent or

Wasted

Meaning full or

Lost

Either way

Time is spent

Never to be

Recovered

Tomorrow begins a

New Year

The first seconds of

The first minutes of

The first hour of

The first day

Still ponderous and

Pondering and

Full of meaning or

Not

And the weight of

Hope is the

Heaviest weight of all

Should auld acquaintance be forgot and

Never brought to mind

Should auld acquaintance be forgot and

Days of auld lang syne
